Controlled Burns Send Up Plumes on South Coast

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY – More than a half dozen controlled burns are sending up noticeable plumes in southern Santa Barbara County.The Montecito Fire Protection District confirmed to KEY News there are a total of seven permitted controlled burns taking place Monday. Six of the burns are in Capinteria, one is in Montecito burning along East Valley Road. The fires are helping with vegetation control. All controlled burns must be completed by 5 p-m.
