Suspect Hits Patrol Car, Flees the Scene
The San Luis Obispo CHP is looking for a suspect that fled the scene of a crash involving a police car. Officials say the suspect’s car is an early 2000s model Chevy Silverado pickup with a ladder in the bed. It last seen Monday morning shortly after the collision near the intersection of Los Osos Valley Road and Calle Joaquin.Just after 6 this morning on duty SLO Police Sergeant Jeff Booth was rear ended by a high speed oncoming car on the northbound side of highway 101 between Prado Road and Madonna Road. His patrol car lost control and ran into the metal guard rail in the center divider. Sergeant Booth was treated for moderate abrasions and lacerations then released. Authorities say the suspect’s car license plate is similar to 6371915. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact SLO CHP Officer Gennuso at 593-3333.
