Smoke Shop Drug Investigation
A month-long narcotics investigation led to a smoke shop bust. Ventura County Sheriff’s Investigators believe 33-year-old Duraid Durra was selling marijuana out of his own smoke shop on Harvard Boulevard in Santa Paula.Officers served search warrants at the Harvard Smoke Shop last week.They also searched Durra’s Jamestown Circle residence in Ventura.That’s where they arrested Durra and three other residents.Detectives say they located marijuana, packaged for sale, during a search of Durra’s vehicle.A search warrant served at Durra’s business led to the seizure of packages of substances believed to be spice and bath salts displayed for sale.At Durra’s residence, Detectives say they seized more than ten pounds of marijuana, several grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash.They arrested Cleland Weber, Hugh Setterfield and David Reed at the home.All three are facing drug related related charges.Reed who has a prior record, is the only one who has not posted bail.Durra is scheduled to be arraigned on January 15th,The others have court dates this month and next.Share your comments about this story with us on the KEY News Facebook page.
