Young Ambassadors Bring Fiesta Spirit to the Community
The Fiesta Flower girls and Las Seoritas are busy ringing in this year’s festivities. The Old Spanish Day’s ambassadors visited Tuesday’s Santa Barbara City council meeting and even made a stop at the police department to get a look at how officers prepare to keep the city safe.They were joined by El Presidente Ricardo Castellanos who took a moment to take a photo with the girls. They also made a stop at an Alzheimer’s day care facility to lift the patient’s spirits.This year has the largest participation with 117 flower girls. Next stop will be to open the La Fiesta Pequea at the Santa Barbara Mission on Wednesday night. Folks will also see the girls along with the Las Seoritas, walk along the parade route tossing fresh flowers on Friday and Saturday.
