Woman Assaulted In Isla Vista

A woman in Isla Vista says she was assaulted while walking along the 6580 block of Cervantes Road. The incident was reported to authorities Saturday night after 8 pm. The victim says a man grabbed her and tried to pull her into nearby bushes. She was able to get away. Police describe the suspect as a white male, about 20 years old, 6 foot 5 inches tall, with a buzz style hair cut. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Saturday’s assault is the fourth assault against female students near campus since classes started in October. Three of those assaults were sexual assaults.
