Ventura Names New Fire Chief

There is a new Fire Chief in the city of Ventura.Ventura’s Assistant Chief was promoted to the top job this week.Don McPherson has been with the department for more than three decades.He started as a reserve firefighter when he was just a teen.Former Chief Kevin Rennie retired in June.McPherson says his goal as chief is to provide the best service with the resources the department has available.
