Update: Power Outage in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara – Power has been returned to almost all of the customers who lost power Saturday evening in Santa Barbara.Initially, more than 2,700 customers lost power when lines went down on the 200-block of Yanonali Street. Southern California Edison says the general areas affected were parts of the Eastside, including Gutierrez and the Mesa, along Cliff Dr.Firefighters on scene said they were inundated with calls shortly after the homes went dark.According to SCE, only 59 customers remained without power late Saturday night. The are all located near the source of the outage. Crews are expected to be on the scene through the night until everything has been fixed.The reason why the lines went down is still under investigation.
