Update: Cottage Hospital Evacuations

Santa Barbara – More than a dozen patients are back in their rooms tonight after a brief scare at Cottage Hospital.The evacuations began around 4pm Sunday afternoon. A Cottage Hospital spokesperson says a portable X-ray machine overheated, sending smoke into the hallway of one of the hospitals new wings.Hospital employees were quick to respond and evacuated about 14 patients.Everyone was allowed back into their rooms shortly before 6pm.
