Trail Closed After Bear Attack
Los Padres National Forest’s Ojai Ranger District has closed a hiking trail where a mother bear attacked a woman earlier this month. The woman is recovering from minor injuries meanwhile the Gridley Trail will be closed until Saturday to give officials time to review trail safety. The bear was also spotted in nearby avocado orchards. Officials say this is the time of year when bears migrate in the early morning and evening hours.
