State Budget Woes gets Local Taxpayers Talking

The growing state budget problems may force taxpayers to decide if they will back an increase in the sales tax to ease California’s financial pain.Governor Jerry Brown says his projected nine-billiond dollar deficit is now closer to $16-billion. He proposed a quarter cent sales tax increase for four years, along with more cuts to state government.At the same time the Governor wants to increase funding for K-12 schools and keep local law enforcement funds strong.KEY News Senior Reporter John Palminteri has our story.
