KEYT’s “3 On Your Side” and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust are hosting a Shred Day to be held at Home Depot today from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.It is important to shred old documents that contain information such as your social security number and bank account numbers. Shredding instead of trashing them is one simple step to defend yourself against identity theft. Don’t worry about removing staples, paper clips or rubber bands even file folders can be shredded. Documents that cannot be disposed of are cardboard, hazardous materials, CDs, DVDs or binders.There is a six box maximum per person.Home Depot is located on Marketplace Drive in Goleta.
