Shark Sighting at Santa Barbara Harbor

Shark warning signs are back up on Santa Barbara beaches. A shark sighting was reported at five Wednesday evening by an experienced local surfer. Santa Barbara County officials say, the 14 foot white shark was spotted off the entrance to the Santa Barbara Harbor in roughly six feet of water. The man who reported the sighting says, he was surfing near the sandspit when the shark surfaced and charged at something in the water. Officials believe the shark was feeding in the shallow water. Warning signs will remain posted until Sunday evening.
