Search Dog Donation

The nation’s top training center for disaster search dogs just got it single largest anonymous donation.Someone donated a million dollars to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation.The foundation is based in Ojai, but it plans to spend the money on a new training center in Santa Paula.The center still needs another three million dollars to be completed, but the site is already in use.Search dogs and their handlers spend time there learning how to find people trapped in the wreckage of hurricanes, earthquakes and other disasters.For more information, or to make a donation lot onto: Search Dog FoundationShare your comments about this story with us on the KEY News Facebook page.
