Santa Barbara Zoo Highlights
Our very own KEY News Chief Meteorologist Alan Rose got a taste of the summer-time fun being offered at the Santa Barbara Zoo.Alan had the opportunity to get up close and personal with several of the zoo’s full-time residents.The highlight of his day was getting to interview a zoo employee about two of the zoo’s main stars – Little Mack and Sujatha- two Asian Elephants who got along famously during his interview at KEY News at 5, 6 and 6:30 p.m.. This summer, the Santa Barbara Zoo is bringing back it’s ever popular Zoo Camp, which runs from the June 16th through August 17th.Zoo camp offers hands-on science lessons, and even the opportunity to feed giraffes.
