Pursuit Suspect Identified

Sheriff’s officials have identified a man they arrested Monday night after a police pursuit from Goleta to Gaviota. Deputies say Anthony Neuroth led them and CHP officers on the 30-minute pursuit. They also say the chase started after Neuroth intentionally tried to side-swipe a police car. Spike strips were set up in two separate locations.. and ultimately that’s what stopped the suspect near the Mariposa Reina off ramp. No one was hurt. Neuroth also allegedly verbally attacked a nun before the incident. Authorities have not released the charges against him yet.
