PODS Helping Veterans in Need

A local PODS franchise is helping homeless veterans before the first ever Santa Barbara County “Stand Down” event. It’s another example of what’s right. Back in April, PODS placed a container in the parking lot of the Administration Building at the Betteravia Government Center in Santa Maria. That’s where people and businesses have been leaving donations for the vets. The Department of Defense is also chipping in. They’re collecting everything from clothes and food to toothpaste. The container will then be transported to Santa Maria Fairpark the day before the stand down event. The event will happen on October 13, from 7pm to 3pm.
