Pier One Opens New Concept Store in Goleta

Pier 1 Imports is bringing a new look to its stores and customers started checking it out in Goleta on Monday.The home decor store has been designed with what’s called an “open concept.” The store has brighter lighting and higher walls full of glassware, dishes, candles, furniture and home furnishings.”We are what we call a warm store,” said Manager Matt Diaz. “Since we are in beautiful Santa Barbara and Goleta, we will always have the fantastic outdoor furniture, the wicker chairs, umbrellas, and the patio stuff. We will always have warm weather products.”For social events, “we have the traditional wine glasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes, you name it and we got it,” said Diaz. “Every color design. So we’re pretty set.”The store is in the Camino Real Marketplace off Storke Road. The store is open for business now but the official grand opening is August 11th.
