Teenagers from all five public Ventura high schools sold 870 car wash tickets to their annual fundraiser in April.And their hard work paid off.Paradise Chevrolet is matching every dollar they raised.The dealership on Leland Street in Ventura donated the water and the space for the car wash.And today, General Manager Don Fromberg presented students with checks totaling $8,700.00.Students from Pacific, Buena, El Camino, Foothill and Ventura High Schools received checks.Students say they will use the money to pay for a school rally, a summer camp and a Renaissance program that inspires students to do their best.
