Oxnard Standoff

OXNARD- A standoff with police took place in Oxnard Wednesday night. Police say, 24-year old Gustavo Meza got in a fight with his father just after 11 Wednesday night. When police arrived on scene to Meza’s parents house on the 300 block of North I Street, Meza refused to come out and locked himself in a room. Police say, Meza made several threats to police during negotiations. So after an hour police used pepper spray balls to get him out of the home. Meza was charged with criminal threats as well as resisting a peace officer.
