Off Duty Officer Killed in Roll Over Crash
A Santa Paula Police Officer was killed in an off duty roll over crash Sunday night.It happened just after nine on South Mountain Lookout road between Santa Paula and Somis.The Ventura County Medical Examiner says 33 year old Kimberly Hemminger of Oxnard died from neck injuries after being ejected from the right front passenger seat of a Jeep.CHP officers arrested the man driving the jeep on suspicion of a DUI and vehicular manslaughterTwo other women in the back seat were treated for minor injuries. Investigators say it appears they were not wearing seat belts.
