New Charge Against Accused Serial Rapist

Santa Barbara Police say a fourth victim has come forward with allegations against Jerry Bonhomme. Bonhomme is currently locked up at the Santa Barbara County Jail for three prior assault charges.Police tell KEY News, the fourth woman contacted the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office after she saw news reports about Bonhomme’s arrest.Authorities say he assaulted the women when they were unconscious or intoxicated.All women have come forward with similar stories. They were out drinking and Jerry Bonhomme offered to drive them home. That’s when Bonhomme allegedly drove them to his Santa Barbara house instead and raped them. Prosecutors say the allegations date back as far as 2009.A lack of physical evidence could make the allegations harder to prove. Prosecutors hope to have a jury hear all three cases in the same trial.Bonhomme is scheduled to be back in court August 27th.
