Man Arrested for Allegedly Attacking a Woman

SANTA BARBARA- Police say they have arrested a Santa Barbara man who assaulted and attempted to rape a woman. Police say, a 33-year-old woman called 9-1-1 Sunday afternoon saying she had been attacked by her friend, who police have identified as 48-year-old Francisco Alcoser. The alleged attack took place at 1122 Indo Muerto Street in Santa Barbara when the victim met with Alcoser to have drinks. The victim told police that Alcoser made a sexual advance and after she refused he attacked her. Police say she fought Alcoser off, and was able to escape his home. Police arrested Alcoser for assault with intent to commit rape and false imprisonment.
