International Walk to School Day
Thousands of students are expected to hit the sidewalks for “International Walk to School Day” this Wednesday morning. The event is organized locally by COAST’s safe routes to school program. School officials say Wednesday’s event is a great way for parents to introduce their kids to traffic safety. It also encourages children to stay physically fit. COAST is requesting that drivers be extra cautious today and take into account the extra foot and bicycle traffic.
