Grocery Store Bank Robbed
VENTURA- Ventura police are looking for a man who robbed a U.S. Bank branch inside a Vons grocery store. The robbery took place just before four Thursday afternoon in the 6000 block of Telegraph Road. Police say, the robber presented a bank teller a note demanding money. Fearing for her safety, the teller complied and handed the robber an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen and no one was injured during the incident. Police describe the robber as a Hispanic man in his 50s, wearing a Lakers hat, and a red and white plaid shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
