Fire Captain Performs Heimlich Maneuver During Award Ceremony

Captain Ben Davis is Ventura’s Firefighter of the Year. On Friday, during his award ceremony, a man started choking on his medication. Ventura Mayor Mike Tracy took notice and called across the crowded room to Davis for help. Davis jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver. KEY News reporter Alys Martinez has the story.
