EXCLUSIVE: Details Into The Untimely Death of A Local Hiker

Santa Barbara- There are new details surrounding the untimely death of 36-year-old Santa Barbara Resident, Nicole Peters. Peters died after suffering, what appears to be, a medical problem while hiking with her three dogs in the Romero Canyon Trail, above Montecito about two weeks ago.About an hour and half later, a paramedic was lowered from a helicopter and found Peter’s body on the trail. According to emergency dispatch records, one of the helicopters could not respond because of a malfunction. The incident took place in the afternoon of September 14th, and now the family wants to know why rescuers couldn’t get to her sooner. KEY News Reporter Shirin Rajaee investigates.
