Earthquake Jolts Central Coast

A small earthquake has jolted the Southern California coast. The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 4.0 quake struck near the Channel Islands just before 10:15 Tuesday night. The earthquake was centered about 35 miles southeast of Oxnard. Sheriff’s and fire officials say there were no calls about damage or injuries from the quake.
