The Santa Monica High School softball team had scored ten or more runs 13 times this season. But they had never faced Dos Pueblos star pitcher Hannah Harris. The senior, who has an ERA under 0.50, gave up only a bloop double to right in the fifth inning as the Chargers shutout Santa Monica 1-0 in a CIF Division IV second round game in Goleta. Freshman Adyson Willett knocked in Cassie Davis with a fifth inning single to right. Harris struck out three batters and faced the minimum 21 batters as her defense sparkled behind her. The reigning CIF Division IV champs improve to 25-3 on the year.
