Dole Deal

This week Dole out of Westlake Village announced that a deal was in the works with Itochu.Dole is working on a deal to sell its processing and Asian fruit and vegetable business to the company for an undisclosed amount.Itochu has also courted Oxnard where the business buzz is about a possible California base for palm oil and other products popular in San Francisco and Los Angeles.The company has had informal talks with Oxnard and Port of Hueneme Officials.Dole and Itochu officials could not be reached for comment.Share your comments about this story with us on the KEY News Facebook page.
