Corey Lyons Sentenced to Life in Prison
The man who murdered his brother and another woman learned his punishment for the crimes Tuesday. Corey Lyons was sentenced to 50 years to life plus two life sentences without the possibility of parole. Prosecutors believe money for construction costs was the motive for the killings. Corey Lyons used a gun to kill his brother Daniel Lyons and Daniel’s girlfriend of 20 years, Barbara Scharton. They were found dead in their Santa Barbara Mesa home in May of 2009.
