Celebrity Chef Cited For DUI
Celebrity chef Cat Cora was recently cited for driving under the influence after she allegedly caused a minor traffic accident on upper State Street. According to Santa Barbara Police, Cora rear-ended a BMW with her Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of State and La Cumbre streets around 6:15 p.m. on June 17th. No one was injured.The 45 year-old Santa Barbara resident told police she drank three bottles of beer at Cold Spring Tavern and was on her way home. She also revealed having an argument with her partner earlier that night. The police report shows Cora provided two breath samples which registered her Blood Alcohol Content or BAC at .20 and .19 and a blood sample which registered her BAC at .19. That is more than twice the legal limit.Cora is charged with one DUI count and one count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
