Brian Reid Pleads Not Guilty to Shooting Parents

The man accused of killing his father and wounding his mother with a gun pleaded not guilty in a Santa Maria courtroom Tuesday.Brian Keith Reid is charged with first degree murder and first degree attempted murder. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies say Reid shot his parents during a family barbeque at Orcutt Community Park on Labor Day. Reid is scheduled to be back in court on October 29th when a preliminary hearing date will be set. He remains in jail with no bail.
