Big Marijuana Bust
Santa Barbara County Sheriff detectives seized more than 800 live marijuana plants from a Santa Maria warehouse on 500 block of West Betteravia Road. During the raid detectives also found other various items purchased through drug money such as a 2004 Dodge Viper and twelve paintings by Thomas Kinkade. Police suspected Jesse Adam Delacruz of growing and selling large amounts of the drug.Delacruz was arrested at his place of employment in Santa Maria and booked into the Santa Barbara Jail on $50,000 bail for felony cultivating over 25 pounds of marijuana, felony possession of over 25 pounds of marijuana for sales, and felony possession of an illegal firearm.
