Avocado Honey Ale Pours from Taps at Festival

The coolest way to celebrate the California Avocado Festival in Carpinteria this weekend may be coming out of a tap. The Island Brewing Company is now serving its unique Avocado Honey Ale that’s been specially made for the event. The demand over the years has been so high, owner Paul Wright says he has doubled the production this year to 240 cases. What does it taste like?We are told this year’s recipe has been reworked and came out a little sweeter.”Everybody who’s tried it really loves it,” said Island Brewing Owner Paul Wright. “And then of course, the people who have been around say it’s darker than last year but I like the flavor a little better so they compare and contrast with last years version. I can’t remember what they taste like for a year but apparently a lot of our customers do.”Island Brewing is already serving the Avocado Honey Ale on tap.You can also find it in bottles throughout the Carpinteria area, until all the 1900 gallons produced, are gone.
