Armed Man Surrenders After Standoff With SWAT Team

An armed man surrendered after a standoff with Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. team on Friday.David Moles was taken into custody without incident after it was reported he battered a female victim. Further investigation revealed that he made criminal threats to the victim.Sheriff’s deputies said they searched the area along the 3300 block of Casitas Pass Rd. A sheriff’s helicopter located Moles in an off-road area. Deputies observed Moles holding a handgun. After several hours of negotiations, Moles surrendered to deputies. A handgun was recovered at the scene where Moles was taken into custody.He was arrested on felony domestic battery and criminal threats charges and later booked into the Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
