All Breed Dog Show at Ventura Fairgrounds
More than 23-hundred dogs are competing in the Summerfest All Breed Dog Show.The four day event is taking place at Seaside Park also known as the Ventura County Fairgrounds.The CEO of the fairgrounds say the show means big business for Ventura.American Kennel Club dog owners told KEY News they don’t make money, they spend it.Although professional handlers often earn more than a hundred dollars for each dog they handle during each competition, they say it is not about the money.GiGi and Kim Griffith called it a way of life.Kim Griffith said it’s all about showing the dog’s knowledge.One of his client’s says Mr. Griffin worked his magic after her young Newfoundland named Dexter won best of breed on Friday.The show runs through Sunday.You can not bring in your own pet, but you are welcome to watch the dog show for free.
