Two SBCC Students Arrested For Isla Vista Burglary

Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Santa Barbara City College students on Tuesday for allegedly breaking into an Isla Vista apartment and stealing electronic items.

The burglary happened about 6:00 Tuesday night on the 6500 block of Trigo Road. The residents of the apartment called the Isla Vista Foot Patrol office to report a residential burglary. Deputies responded and reviewed surveillance video that apparently identified the suspects.

Deputies say they both Cook and Kosher were caught with the stolen property which included six DVD’s, a Play Station 3, three I-Phones and a Mac Book laptop computer. All of the stolen items were returned to the victims.

Cook and Kosher were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on charges of residential burglary and possession of stolen property. Their bail is set at $50,000 each.
