No Waiting for Many Shoppers

Many holiday shoppers who found open stores on Thanksgiving, came away with large discounts and big smiles. One popular store was the Kmart in Goleta. Shoppers there not only loaded their carts with items they could pay for today, they also took advantage of the layaway policy. “We got some savings, yes, we did. We saved $100,” said Ray Lopez.

He also put some items on layaway, and plans to pay for them early next month. That was popular with many shoppers. “I put 400 dollars on layaway and I bought some stuff for cash,” said Bobbi Reyna.

One customer picked up a few items today and plans to buy other gifts on line, if she can get free home delivery. “It’s easier. I have three girls. It’s much easier than going out and doing my shopping. Getting them in the car, all of those people, you save just about as much on line as you do going to the actual store,” said Chelsea Holguin.
