Israeli- Palestinian Conflict Fuels Social Media Wars
There have long been the tools of warfare associated with the Israeli- Palestinian conflict, from warplanes to rockets. Now, that list includes twitter, Facebook and YouTube. So many people have been glued to Facebook and twitter watching the events unfold. Emotions are high online– as people post graphic images, often uncensored.
Tuesday marked the 7th day of deadly violence in the region. Hopes were high for a cease-fire Tuesday night. Talks dragged on till about midnight between Israeli and Hamas officials, who were communicating through Egyptian mediators.
Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier. But no cease-fire yet.
