Cold Case Headed To Court
A man wanted for the 1980 rape and murder of an Oxnard girl is now in the Ventura County Jail. Cold case detectives located Thomas Young in Alabama after finding a DNA evidence match on a criminal data base. The 65-year-old suspect fought extradition and lost.
Young is accused of fatally stabbing 15-year-old Stacy Knappenberger. Young’s arraignment was postponed today. He is scheduled to be back in court December 5th.
