Can Tree Collection
You may see some unusual Christmas trees at Oxnard’s newest shopping center. They are made out of canned food.
Teams from dozens of companies built trees out of cans at The Collection at Riverpark today. One tree is made out of ten thousand green bean cans. All of the items will be donated to Food Share. Food Share’s CEO says many of their shelves are empty. That’s why they came up with this new campaign.
A party with Santa is being held at The Collection tonight. And donations of non perishable food are welcome.
