Santa Barbara Zoo preparing for 2021 Spooky Zoo event

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Spooky Zoo is coming to Santa Barbara this month!

The Santa Barbara Zoo is inviting the community to get into the spirit of Halloween and join them outdoors for a special "spell-ebration."

Spooky Zoo will run from Oct. 11 to 31 this year and is free with regular zoo admission.

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes to the zoo throughout the month and enjoy the frightfully fun decor and themed photo opportunities with their favorite animals throughout the park.

Tasty treats and boo-zy adult beverages will also be available for purchase.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will still be required when indoors at the zoo.

Guests must also reserve their tickets online ahead of time at www.sbzoo.org.

The zoo will not allow guests to wear full costume head or face coverings.

Costumes must also be child-friendly without gore or realistic weapons.
