Kids learning lifesaving skills at lifeguard camp in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Junior Lifeguard Camp in Santa Barbara is in full swing.

Organizers said hundreds of kids are participating this year.

The nationally-affiliated program involves swimming, running, education and more.

This popular program includes daily workouts, water safety, first aid, surf lifesaving, marine education and more.

Physical fitness and development are balanced with self-esteem and camaraderie. Strong swimming skills a must.
