Wineries of 46 East host fundraiser for winery owner’s son with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
PASO ROBLES, Calif. - The Wineries of 46 East in Paso Robles announced they are hosting a Valentine's weekend fundraiser for one of their own who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
From Feb. 14 to Feb. 16, participating wineries along the 46 East Wine Trail will be donating a portion of the weekend’s sales and/or tasting fees directly to the Waterman Family for their son Braden Waterman.
The Waterman Family owns Brochelle Vineyards, a Paso Robles winery established in 1998.
Braden is described as a very special young man who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the part of the immune system called the lymphatic system.
The donations from the fundraiser will be used to help pay for his medical expenses, as well as lodging and traveling expenses to and from appointments.
The Wineries of 46 East say their biggest goal is to keep a smile on Braden's face. They ask that participants post any pictures from this weekend's fundraiser or encouragements with #battlelikeabearcat.
