CIF at-large entries into football playoffs are announced, Santa Ynez misses postseason again

The CIF is announcing its football playoff pairings later today but the at-large entries are known.

The local teams (805 area code) that have been chosen are:

Division 3: Newbury Park and Camarillo

Division 5: Ventura

Division 8: Righetti

There are no at-large bids in division 10 so Santa Ynez (8-2) will miss the playoffs again. They are 23-7 in the past three years but have not gone to the playoffs.

Santa Barbara(5-5) and Nordhoff(6-4) did not receive a playoff invitation as well.

The CIF releases its playoff pairings starting at 10 am and can be found at cifss.org.
