Former UCSB star Alan Williams agrees to 3 yr, 17 million dollar contract to remain in Phoenix

After a breakout second half of the season last year, restricted free agent Alan Williams has agreed to a three year, 17 million dollar contract to remain on the Phoenix Suns.

UCSB’s all-time leading rebounder and second all-time leading scorer, averaged 7.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game last season for the Suns.

After the Suns shutdown Tyson Chandler following the all-star break, Williams blossomed as his numbers in the final 24 games increased to 11.4 points, 9.0 boards, 0.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 22.6 minutes per contest.

The 24 year old Williams is a native of Phoenix and went undrafted out of UCSB.
