Oxnard police face unsolved murder after victim dies

The Oxnard Police Department confirmed that 33-year-old Oxnard resident Eduardo Banales died from injuries suffered in a shooting at Wilson Park on June 11.

Detectives are now a faced with an unsolved murder. No suspect or suspects have been identified at this time.

The shooting occurred at about 10:19 p.m. at the park located at 350 North C Street in the City of Oxnard. Officers found Banales suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition where he remained until his passing.

The motive for the murder is unknown at this time.
