Sexual assault, violent crimes to be discussed at Isla Vista town hall
The Isla Vista Community Services District Board of Directors is preparing for its first Public Safety Town Hall on Tuesday evening.
The event is being billed as a forum on police protection services and community safety.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Isla Vista Community Room at 970 Embarcadero del Mar.
Sexual assault and other violent crimes will be a topic of discussion as an alarmingly high number of incidents have been reported over the last few months.
IVCSD was created in the wake of the 2014 Isla Vista Tragedy. The IVCSD offers a forum where residents can learn more about the IVCSD’s powers, voice their safety concerns, and provide feedback and input to the Board of Directors.
