Gloria Steinem speaks at the Arlington Theatre

UCSB Arts & Lectures presented “An Evening with Gloria Steinem” at the Arlington Theatre Thursday night.

Steinem is social activist, writer, editor and lecturer. She has been an outspoken champion of women’s rights since the 1960s.

Most recenly, Steinem served as honorary co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington. She has commented on many political and social platforms.

“A gender-equal society would be one where the word ‘gender’ does not exist, where everyone can be themselves,” said Steinem.

Tickets were $50-70 for the general public and $15 for all students. For more information on future UCSB Arts& Lectures, visit www.ArtsAndLectures.UCSB.edu.
