Mysterious boat dug up on Santa Barbara beach

With recent rains, and tough coastal erosion this month, a buried boat has emerged east of Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara.

Marborg was called out to salvage the metal hull vessel at low tide.

Company officials believe it may have been there more than 20 years.

The name of the vessel was not released and may not have been visible.

Erosion through the Central Coast has carved up some beaches and changed the character of the local coastlines.
